I far too often have "senior moments" like this. I put it down to the "absent minded professor" syndrome. That's a more appealing interpretation. :)

Putting things in the fridge is fairly common (I usually check in there when I can't find my wallet). Puttings things destined for the rubbish into the freezer is a new one though.
