Just some photos from Longford Show last Saturday.

I think it's one of the biggest agricultural shows in the state, as it falls on the weekend between the Launceston Royal & the Hobart Royal, so a lot of exhibitors come over from the mainland and do all three.

Obviously it's at Longford, which is about 15 minutes out of Launceston. The first one was in 1857. Wonder if I can find a report from that. Show of the Northern Agricultural Society

Poultry in the shed at the back. Trade stalls & crafts in the shed to the left. The stripy tent was an eating area & stage. The animal nursery is just behind that, with a farm scene painted on the side. In the front, the side show area.

Loot

Not a very wide variety, and I'd eaten one of the apples, but loot is loot.

A recent history of the Launceston Show as it applies to me. )
