It's a pity the next bit is one of those that has be overhauled, ripped apart and rebuilt because of changes in characters. Plus there's a bit of "things happening here" have to coordinate with "things happening there" with allowance for travelling times :|
I think the next novel will have teleporters.

Date: 2005-08-29 10:19 am (UTC)Better than my current way, which is effectively pulling out a number that sounds good and doing some hand waving (e.g. in current scene, they're going to go "two days north of here, just past Sometown; so when it comes time for them to work how quickly they can pull off the rescue, I know they're two days away!)
