Wasted most of today reading a novel. It was funny in a way. As I'm reading, I have the usual reading reactions -- ooh, something is going to happen; this bit seems a bit slow maybe I should skip it; I'll just read this bit and then stop; no, not a change of scene! go back to the other characters!

Why is that funny? Well, I wrote the bloody thing :\

I did only intend to read a short bit to get the voice so I could rewrite the first scene but, well, I like it. *sigh* I had managed to put it behind me and move on and forget how much I like it, despite its obvious faults.
