Some photos from Tony Robinson’s Tour of Duty at the QVMAG today. The focus of this episode is war militaria & story.

Louise (Collectons Manager) & Andrew (Librarian) and the nurse painting of unknown origin.

Two representative of a local reenactment group.

Miking up.

The nurse painting is the focus of this scene.

The expert offers some useful information about the paintings purpose and possible origin.

Curator Jon doing assessments.

Being rent-a-crowd for a scene with military badges (widow's badge & nearest female relative bages, not uniforms ones) that were passed around the crowd, under the slightly nervous eye of their owner, in the blue there.

Would you mess with this pair?

Mcgee's Victoria Cross is the focus of the next scene, with a a discussion between his brother's great-great-grandson (right) and the military historian whose name I can't remember (David?).

"Some notes I had previously prepared."

Being Rent-a-crowd again.

OK not more "fun". Pretend protests are fun. But it was more satisfying.
