Some people on bikes
Dec. 8th, 2013 09:29 pmWas in town to day watching part of the "Stan Siejka Launceston Cycling Classic 2013" as the banner across the road called it. The Masters part, because my brother was riding in it, and I wanted to take some photos. But it wasn't particularly successful, either at getting photos of Ben riding or bike racing in general.
Still, I have them and they might be of interest to competitors or someone :)

The Masters event, one of the prelude races to the "big event" later in the evening, is run over 30 minutes. (They ride around and around for 30 minutes and then for another 2 laps.)

For most of the race, these three led by a long distance, so it wasn't that interesting. Somewhere near the end that changed, but that was on the other side of the circuit. That most interesting part was watching for #34

Moving around, trying different locations, to see which works best. (Photos are in chronological order.)

You can tell it's not that interesting when ghost riders appear.

Waiting near the start/finish line for the last few laps.

That must be the end. It was a bit hard to see the actual result.

Some people who just happened to be standing near me.

We also watched the Women's Elite event, but it was raining and I wasn't in a good place for taking photos.
