This is Tecla, the third of the Dutch ships on their trip around the world. Built in 1915. And that's all I can remember. This is the last ship I looked at.

So tip to tail again.

This bowsprit just seems very strange to me.

A view the length of the ship.

The main mast, well both masts actually. She's ketch-rigged so all fore & aft sails.

You can see there where visitors came aboard, and then had to climb down to the deck. That was all right, but when it came time to leave, I had to climb back up and my legs did't want to do that. That's why I knew it was a good idea to come home. A day and a half of constant walking, going up and down the stairs at the backpackers and then climbing around ships was about half a day too much. One day I'll get the idea of stopping when I've had enough :)

Another look back, or front if you will :)

There is a metal post and bolt thing that might be involved (second and third photos).
