After a short discussion on Facebook about the business opportunities for a coachbuilder in the 1930s, I thought I should check where he was operating from. Being impatient, I checked through the Examiner and found some of their ads. I through putting them in chronological order might be interesting.
All taken from the Examiner.

1926

1930

1935

1936

1941

1948
(Of the two ledgers, one ran from 1904 to 1920s, and contained invoices for "F. Proctor, Shoeing General Blacksmith." The other one is later, approximately the same period as the advertisements and has invoice for "L.A. Proctor, Coachbuilder" and later "L.A. Procter, Coachbuilder Shoeing General Blacksmith". Leslie wanted to push the coachbuilding side of the business?)
ETA Two relevant links: Leslie Arthur Proctor & Blacksmith & Wheelwright: F. Proctor
