May. 27th, 2008 08:45 pmSo what makes a good female protagonist?
I was asked recently, after grumbling about authors who write women badly, for some examples of writers who write good female main leads. And, um, I couldn't think of any.
I don't generally care for the kick-arse type of heroine. Too often they come across as guys with boobs. I also don't care for the successful career women who needs to be rescued and/or allows the hero to have his way with her because he's so big and manly.
