xenithI seem to have gathered a collection of thimbles.
At the market last week, one of the stalls had 30 in a little case for $ 30. I liked these wooden ones, but there was the problem of the other 25. Although, you know, I should be able to sell the others on our stall. So...
I love little wooden things. I am trying to fill that wooden bowl at the back with little wooden things. Not as easy to find as you'd think. The thimble on the right (made from sassafras) will go in there.
The one next to it has a little mouse on the side (blackwood thimble, huon pine mouse). The middle one, with gumnuts & leaves on, is my favourite (euclypt). The next one has a ball & chain (huon pine). The last one has apair of pear and apple on the side (blackwood & huon pine).
Tasmanian souvenirs obviously, both in material & subject (except for the mouse). I wonder if I can find some more.
