I noticed this in other bookshops, just not this badly.
Birchalls, the bookshop in the mall that has been there forever, has two bays of SF & F books -- floor to ceiling shelves, and about that wide. It used to have one bay but they double it recently. (Obviously because there's no market for books anymore.)
As in most shops, the books are arranged alphabetically by author.
Halfway down the second bay is H
