Maybe LJ eats random posts? I've had similar things happen in the recent past. Or maybe it (LJ) is hording posts it thinks are interesting (or tasty?) and will disgorge them later? ;)
The one recent post that went walkies did show up later in the day, but it was very weird to post something and have it floating around in the ether for most of twelve hours before it decided to post.
