The Hair Experiment
Apr. 21st, 2005 09:12 pmDecided today to buy a more expensive shampoo, to see what it would do to my hair. Now, my hair is fine (in the OK sense, definitely not in the descriptive sense). It's a boring dark brown/black, unruly, too long mess that I hack off every couple of year. We won't mention how long it's been since I went to the hairdressers either because I can't remember. I know I went just before my sister's wedding in 1993 though. I've taken to wearing it up in a loose bun. Keeps it out of the way, stops it getting tangled & means I don't wash it every day (which is good for It).
But for some reason, other people like It. They tell me how lovely It is. People are strange :)
Admittedly it does do that falling in waves to the shoulder thing that TV peopel seem to think everyone wants. Not sure why.
Anyway, I usually buy cheap shampoo/conditioner ($1.78 for 500 ml). It works. But I'm curious what effect a decent shampoo will have so I checked out the shelves at the supermarket and finally settled on the one that was 2 for $8. For 250 ml bottles. ... Garnier Fructis it is.
It claims:
We shall see.

It claims:
- after 5 washes, it will leave your hair 3 times softer
- after 10 washes, it makes your hair twice as strong
We shall see.
