Friend is over and I'm spending a couple of days with her.
Had to virtually write Chap 6 from scratch so it's going slower than I like. Better though. Noticed that 6 ends on a "everything is good and who needs a cliff hanger" note and then there's a gap of a few months. Have decided to take advantage of this and have an intermission or something (Part 1, Part 2 etc.)
Got market on Sunday. At Esk. I hope we sell somethig. Money is flowing too much in the wrong direction with market stuff & we haven't had a stall for weeks.
Tomatoes are still producing tomatoes. The vines are shrivelling but still the green tomatoes appear. Bonus points for enthusiasm. Now if they'd just start to ripen...
Pulled out more nasturiums today. There always seems to be one plant that dominates a garden and in this time & place, it's nasturiums. I never even planted them (self sown into a pot when I had my plants at mum's friend's house). I'm wondering if I can do something useful (edible) with the fruit. It's very peppery.
Dog is still being weird. "Stop barking. That's naughty. Naughty dogs don't get to go in cars." Dog stops barking. Dog looks disappointed that she isn't coming too. Dog should remember she is a dog and shouldn't understand everything I say to her.
