Being soft
Apr. 16th, 2005 10:21 pmAdded something to a scene today and I'm not I like it. It was just a few lines that started as a bit of info dump/background but ended up with one of the main characters getting hurt, in a way that made me sad.
There's plenty of characters in this thing getting hurt but this one disturbed me. Maybe it's because she's the, not nicest, innocent? well intentioned? of all of them; and the character doing the hurting enjoyed it. Like kicking a puppy and laughing about it.
I guess it will stay. I'm interested to see how the ripples with spread through other things and it does help explain some later things better too.
But now I just feel bad for letting her be hurt :(
