In meantime, two (rather large) photos that I came across while checking what I'd taken while away, which contradict what I was going to write last night too.
The two main things that give Hobart its character are the mountain
Though I can't see why it has any effect on the city at all :) and the waterfront. (Yes, it is a colour photo)
