The handle snapped off my pot the other day (SNAP it went too). Which is annoying but it's still usable with the help of a potholder (that's what they're for after all). Except clever me went into the kitchen tonight, noticed it was boiling dry and went to pull it off the heat, which my bare hand.
Oh, I thought, looking at finger holding hot pot, that's hot. Maybe I should-- arck!
Now I've got a red, diagonal line across the first third of my right index finger. Good thing I'm left handed and I seem to have just missed the bit that hits the keys when I type. Or it maybe that finger is sort of numb there. I'll know tomorrow, when I have to go to Hobart for two days to work on newsletter.
