Took some photos at the Industrial Relations protest march today. Of course it was a sunny day, even warm sunny, and the shadows in the city streets were dark, so the outside ones are mostly not usable.

and the Albert Hall is too big for the little flash on the camera. But I got some non-flash ones, which are particularly good for crowd scenes.



The movelets are better
Outside & inside but I didn't edit them because stupid editor wants to save them as MPGs and they're usually size anyway. I don't know why they'd be off interesting to anyone though.
The camera mike loses a lot of the "depth" from the sounds, which is a pity. (I really want to get one of those disc recorders to record sounds.) Of course, camera doesn't record the floor vibrating either.

Date: 2006-06-29 04:40 am (UTC)Foot stamping, I assume. With the cheering, there were a rumble and the floor would shake. Not sure the building was built with 2000 foot stampers in mind.
We were upstairs on the balcony, what you can't see in the pictures is a low step about half way between the rail and a wall. They were making people stay back on that step, rather than near the rail.
