I bought a shredder today.

Now I can reduce all my old bills, junk mail, old printouts etc to garden mulch.

It was rather fun. I took an envelope, stuck it in and zrrrrrrrr all gone. Last year's tax pack slowed it down a bit but doesn't it always though

Note the past tense there. I feed in the glossy brochure from our recently elected MP and it choked and gave up

I think I like this shredder

Unplug it and keep the dog away from it

I won't go into gory details but dogs can really get in trouble with it. So, keep it completely unplugged and away from Jazmin.

Keep her away from the loud, noisy, grinding, bangy thing that sounds like it eats dogs? Could be tricky. I'm surprised she stays in the same room when it's one, she watches it with 'narrow' eyes & tail tucked firmly between the legs, which looks weird with a docked tail).

And it's always unplugged when not in use because it sits beside me and I'm not that keen on loud, noisy, grinding, bangy things that could eat anything I drop either.

Lack of a power switch is a rather major design flaw I think.

These will be mother's problem (see, I'm going to generously offer it her) but if it'd used with ornamentals it shouldn't be a problem.
