3rd or 4th?

I looked in the bag of marshmallows tonight and found... mouse droppings. Bad, because that was on the high shelf in the cupboard where I'd put food so it was out of the way of mice. Double bad, because I'd bought that packet of marshmallows after trapping the two mice last week.

So, the trap comes out and I bait it with peanut butter and put it down then go to watch TV.

A few mins later, clatter, rattle from the trap.

"Jazmin, get out of there. If you get your stupid nose caught in it, you'll know it."

Two hours later as I'm getting up from TV, snap, rattle, rattle*.

Another big, fat dead mouse.

How many of them are there?


*The worse bit about the trap, it doesn't do a clean kill :(

I think their base in the Other Kitchen Cupboard, this being where they try to drag the dry dog food into (dry dog food that is bigger than a mouse's head does not fit into a mouse sized hole easily, this is how I know they're in there) so I suspect their hole is in there somewhere too. Which is why I'm not too keen on looking for it, because the Other Kitchen Cupboard is actually the hot water heater with walls around it and there's not really any room around it.

I'll have a look if they reappear.
