In the dark
May. 5th, 2005 07:33 pmI bought a blacklight (UV) torch to give to mother as a Mother's Day present. Along with a green depression glass vase, which doesn't have uranium or anything interesting in it.
Blacklight makes glass with certain elements in it glow. The one that's popular with collectros is uranium/vaseline glass, which is apparently the same as some glass that's passed off as depression glass. I'm not sure about this. I think the u. glass is more yellowish.
But walking around a dark house with a blacklight is way cool :)
White paper & printing glows. So does kitty litter, white threads and whatever is on the surface of my green jacket. Little white dogs don't. $20 notes look purple with orange bits. $10 notes look the same except for the number
I think I might keep it for my own use though :\
