Packing up after the market this evening and, as usual, I started to think about what I had to go in the next day. Go to work tomorrow. *sigh* What happened to the weekend?* Oh wait, it's a holiday tomorrow. Ha!

ANZAC Day actually. Have to still get up at reasonable hour to get into town to watch march.

*It started Saturday morning with ringing up vets. You want a vet Saturday morning? Ha ha. Regular (admittedly many years ago) and within walking distance vet was booked out. Rang up sister to arrange a ride and then started working through the phone book. First one was closed for the weekend. Second was closed for weekend. Third I got in at.

Why vets? Friday morning I picked up little bitch to take her outside and she squealed and started to shake. She spent the rest of the morning shaking and looking for sorry for herself. She wasn't happy about walking up stairs (down was fine) and didn't want to jump up. The problem with little bitchy is she overreacts to anything. So a upset stomach makes her all mopey. She'd had a bone the night before too (which usually constipation if it's been a long time between them). I took her for a walk and she was her useful excitable self.

Seeing she was happy enough, I went into town to take photos of cemeteries.

When I came home, she was mopey again. Just lying on her pillow, shivering even when I went out to watch TV. Usually she comes out and barks at me from time to time.

So I did what all good pet owners do. Waited to see how she was in the morning.

She was much the same, maybe worse. Didn't want to get off pillow. No interested in toy (admittedly a boring toy). Hadn't eaten or drunk anything.

I called vet. Half an hour, sister comes to get us. "Want to go for a walk?" I ask the Really, Very Sick dog. Head goes up. Ears go up. She jumps and runs to to the door. ..... She didn't want to jump up with a was trying to put her lead on, I'll give her that. She started to then thought better of it.

And she didn't like the vet either. Huddling against me and snapping at the poor woman. We muzzled her and she got upset. Carrying on like a spoilt little JR terrier. Which made it hard for the vet to see if anything was wrong.

She finally decided on back problems, which is quite reasonable. But I think some of the diagnosis was based on Jaz's obvious sensitivity at the end of her back and she's always been like that. As in, back when she was a happy. For no apparent reason, she has never liked being touched in that back quarter (legs, tail, whatever). Although she'll accept tummy rubs down that far, if she has to.

Now that could be a sign that she does have a problem with her back there but considering how active she was as a young dog in jumping (she could outjump taller dogs easily) & running, I'd have expected something to have shown up earlier.

So I'm left not really knowing what was/is wrong with her. Thining it was just a large sulk because I somehow hurt her when I picked her up.

OTOH I just bent down then to touch her tail, and she turned on me (rather quickly considering she was lying down). So she at least thinks she's hurting there.

She's a puzzle.

Anyway, after dropping her back home, we went up to check out the 'opposition'. There're two cat registry organisations, each of which run their own shows, with their own titles etc. The second one was having a show in Launceston so we went up to look and get a schedule for their way show up the coast. Not many cats in group 1 at all. And not a single ragdoll. Have to fix that.

After up, up to sister's place to prepare for market on Sunday. The wagon was still being fixed after it didn't make it to the previous market, so we had to pack everything into her little sedan. To enable this, we went through everything and decided what we didn't really need to take. This still left a big pile of stuff waiting near the door to go out to the car though.

Got to bed late, due to sorting stamps. Didn't sleep well/much at all. Woken up an hour early by someone who thought it was a good idea to turn on the radio and the light that shone directly at me. Grrr.

She did though manage to pack everything into the car with room to spare.

Market was good today. It was actually busy for the first couple of hours! And we sound right across our range. Star wars stuff (some little toys, trading cards, parry stuff) was surprisingly popular. No one bought the cards though, except the ones in the frame (which I was rather pleased to sell, always good when something in a frame sells).

Came home to excitable dog, although she wouldn't let me pick her up :(

Wasted lasted 5 hours.
