HMAS Sydney
Aug. 14th, 2013 07:18 pmI don't appear to have posted these.

HMAS Sydney, guided missile frigate, was in Hobart during the weekend of Wooden Boat Festival. It's the fourth ship to carry that name and if I can find the web page, you can go and look at the important information

I was there early, when they first opened the date, but still had to wait a while. I think the idea was to take visitors on in groups, give them a talk and then let them wander around as they felt like it. I also think they underestimated the number of likely visitors a touch.

Don't think I'll bother with captions. There's not much I can actually add to the photos. Just look and make up your own :)

The bridge.

Already traffic isn't moving through the ship.

Not much to take photos of, either.

The bridge from the other side of the glass.

On seeing that, I was very pleased I did come on early.
