Hobart Trip: Done
Jul. 26th, 2013 06:38 pmA lot of photos again, but mostly from the market so you can skip them, or skip the whole thing. Whatever :)

So we checked out of hotel, left bags behind their counter and headed down to Salamanca Market.

Seed mosaics: these are wonderfully wonderful, but you can't see the details in a photo. If you're in the area on a Saturday, go and have a look.
Next few photos are all from Salamanca Market so I won't give them captions.

I bought some apples (Cox's Oranges, yay, a big bag of them). Then we went and sat in front of Parliament House for a while, to rest and see if these lot were going to do anything interesting with the drums but other than spending a lot of time moving them around, it seemed not. At least not until later and we wanted to be elsewhere.

We did entertain some seagulls for a while.

This suggests there are other plaques on the same theme around the city but I haven't noticed them. But then there are a lot of these little plaques around the city.

So we headed for the other side of the waterfront, again, and on the way ran into bit.course. This is like bit.fall (most Googled terms converted to a waterfall) but it moves around, leaving a trail of words behind.

That is where we are headed, to have another looked through Beam in thine own eye.

The blue light still looks the same.

After queuing to see the closed-eyes-lights again, we were told it wasn't working :(

We did get to take a photo of the inside though (which I showed before, but this is where it should be).

Then some more contemplation of the white screen.

You want to entertain adult humans, get a big white screen.

My hand!

That's a better photo of the cube of infinity.

In MAC 2, the building behind, they seem to be practicing for the concert later that night. It's 1.19 pm. Still over an hour until we have to be at the bus depot.

Clouds inside! :)

Bit.course have been here.

Time for lunch, at Flippers. It is required at same point to have fish & chips bought from one of the floating fish & chip shops.

Although it doesn't need to involve either fish or chips.

You are being watched....

They called in the big guns here. These guys . (Interesting note about their call.)

After entertaining the seagulls, we left to pick up our bags from the hotel. On the way we found bit.course had been past! We grabbed our bags from the hotel, head over to the bus depot, found I'd left my bag of apples somewhere :( and caught the bus home!
The end.
