Thoughts from today

Was told today that usual approach for neuro-typical peoples is to worry about something but expect it will turn out all right, whereas Aspie/austistic peoples are expecting to be confronted by something they can't do. Of course, once I heard that, I had to try and think in the "other" way, which I shouldn't do. It makes my head hurt. It also makes my head hurt to think that there are all these people whose basic brain functioning is apparently quite different to mine, yet they're mostly able to live normal, worthwhile lives. People are interesting.
Also today, I was discussing about "joining words", that is, the small talk you do when you meet a new person. Hard to do when there's a voice in my head grumbling that this is all fucking pointless. There is a point. I "know" that. It doesn't stop it being silly though.
