Worldcon Photos, really

I ended up not getting many photos at Worldcon, and less that could be considered "good", so I shall bulk it out with photos of the convention centre get them out of the way first.

Melbourne Convention Centre.

In the Dealers Room

Awful photo of the lovely
thiefofcamorr, who I so wanted to whisk off somewhere for a chat(but don't tell her that!). Maybe next time.

This is what we went to sleep too.

The hotel room had a window for a wall, and we didn't close the "curtain".

I didn't work out what this display was about, but I'm sure it was interesting.(On the boards that is, the books I know about because I was trying to sell them.)

This dubious looking bunch are usually not so unhappy looking:
edsed,
punktortoise and
sue_bursztynski

The airport, oops, the convention centre. Easy mistake to make.

See!

The river just outside the Convention centre.

Melbourne city, from another hotel window.

What we woke up too. Cattle ship and all

Display of the Hugo Award trophies

This year's.

Standing in the entrance on the final day. Is it safe out there?

Date: 2010-09-09 08:17 am (UTC)Patterns and contrasts, I love them :) The convention centre amused me. The developer must have picked up plans for a train station or airport on the cheap and decided to use them....
I don't like taking photos of people (if you get their attention, they put on odd expressions, and if you don't, they stand in odd poses and run away), but I always wish afterwards I had more of them. Next time...
