I might have to go to both then :D Swancon has Sean Williams, who I was really looking forward to at WorldCon... Kaelee (a girl I was at WorlCon with) has been to Conflux too, and also says it was awesome.
Ha. You'll become a con addict (not a good thing if you're into SF/F fantasy writing though). Quite possibly he'll be at both, even if not as a guest. You could ask him.
I'm a con addict already XD I've gone to the Supanovas for a few years now (had a stall at the Brisbane one last year), some of the cons The Hub run in Melbourne... cons in London/Northampton run by Showmasters... eeee.
OH, and I'm going to THE Con - San Diego ComiCon - next year :)
The first con I ever went to was (blanking on the name OziCon?) a comics convention in Sydney about 1991/92, the first in Australia IIRC. Didn't do much for me :\
