Marquette 1929

From the 1930s: a truck and three cars including a small car and a lower end of the market car; in red, black, and red and black.

The card in the window says this is a 1938/9 Willys. While I can find photos of similar trucks online, I can't find any information on them, just their cars and jeeps, and later trucks.

Red & Black

Vauxhall, 1933; an American-owned, British manufacturer.

Red & Black

I didn't realise this was the same car until I looked at the number plates. It looked much more impressive on the road

Other red car

Morris Minor, 1930, produced by the Morris Car Company for the small car market, but different to the Morris Minor produced after World War II.

Marquette 1929

This was a nice car. Marquettes were produced by Buick for just 12 months from June 1929 and targeted at the lower end of the market. Marquette Owners Registry for Enthusiasts

I love pre-WWII vintage cars, particularly the Ford Model Ts and Model As. When our local folklife festival comes around the vintage auto show is one thing I'm always certain I go to. (And this county has its own Model A club, many of whom bring their cars to the festival every year--it's such a popular car here because it was so popular with the old-time moonshiners. :) )
