The crtl V wouldn't work in front of the paragraph mark (i.e. at the end of the sentence). The Alt combination is good to know. Thanks.
It does seem to be working again now, after I dismantled it but as I don't know what caused it in first place (no visible problems) I'm not that certain it will remained fixed.
I sometimes sort my keyboard out by tipping it up and banging the front edge on the desk a few times. All the lint and crap falls to the bottom instead of blocking up the keys.
It all seems to gather at the bottom (under the ctrl key) of its own accord. It's relatively clean at the moment though. I had a bit of clean last week :\
