There are three areas with watercraft, plus a fourth part outside the boundary of the festival proper.
This is the outside section, with Windeward Bound, Enterprize and the non-wooden visitors I showed the other day.
Victoria Dock was labelled "Working and traditional fiching boats" which might translate to "Boats that are here all year, less the ones that don't fit in".
Constitution Dock is one of the main areas with visiting boats.
And non-visiting: May Queen
But the bulk of the boats are here, in the marina.
This is bordered by Elizabeth St pier.
The main wharf.
And the quarantine service/Macquarie Wharf.
"What is that flag? Is that the old Australian one?"
"The red ensign? Now it's the for merchant ships, and lots of the boats have it." *pause* "Well, the steam boat there does, and the Lady Nelson, and um..." It doesn't appear that often at all, actually.
The steam boat I didn't get in to see.
