There's a dead man trying to take over this novel. Not a ghost, just someone who exists only in the memories of other characters but you think that's stopping him trying to get his bit of the spotlight. ......

Last night, on ABC, they had the results of the "Australia's Favourite Book" poll that they've been running for the past 3? months. But top two were rather, hmmm, expected? So I won't bother mentioning what they were seeing it's bed time :)
