Look what came today! Now I don't have to look through piles of Little Golden Books anymore!




"Once there was a little house--on a little hill--out in the country. She was happy. She liked the peasce and quiet, the warm sun on her roof, the soft summer breeze."

And then it gets very sad :(

Until:
"Then a wrecking crew came. The little house shut her eyes. Let them get it over with, the sooner the better. For a house she had had a full life."

But they move her out to the country and fixed her up!

"After that, some people came to live there--people who wanted a little house--on a hill--out in the country."


I loved this book :)


(I assume it's based on the Walt Disney film based on the book of the same name by Virginia Lee Burton. Maybe I should look for that.)
