sffgamebot's word of the day is hyetophobia,which according to theGrandiloquent Dictionary means fear of rain. Although, if I google, the only time the word occurs is in various incarnations of the GD. It doens't even make the Phobia List.

There are other words that mean fear of rain, such pluviophobia and ombrophobia.

Pluviophobia shares a common root with pluvial, pluviography, pluvious and similar words, which have a respectable background as English words.

Ombrophobia only seems to have relatives in scientific, or last technical word, but it seems to be the more widely used term. From Greek ombros = rain
