This is clever. I try to avoid writing posts about particular subjects because while I am happily obsessive about them, I realise not everyone else is, and I also don't like talking about my writing, except in general terms or during November.
So instead I've ended up posting on a very limited range of topics, interspersed with writing posts. OK, that wasn't the intention.
I shall have to broaden my, um, something.
I could start by telling you that in the 1840s a bank's "New Accounts" register book* could include (along with the usual stuff of account holder's name, address and signature) a short description of the account holder e.g. "Blue spot on the back of the hand" or "Grey haired, from Country Tyrone".
