Friday night I went down the pub with mum for a birthday tea. When we got there, a friend of hers (Sally) was there so she said she'd sit with us. In the dining room, was one of my aunts and her friends, so we all sat down at the table together. And they all gave me presents. :) Then my sister turned up, with her daughter.
They have nice meals there (I had beer battered snapper) and after we'd finished eating, the waitress brought in a chocolate cake that mother had made. It had a thick slab of cream in the middle and chocolate mixed into the icing, and grated chocolate on top. I say this, because about half an hour beforehand, we'd been talking about cakes and I said a good cake had to have cream in it and chocolate on it. I had two birthday cakes, because the Tuesday before we had one at the craft group, although that was coconutty or something I didn't care for.
Saturday was the graden trip to Ross & Oatlands. At Ross, we had just over an hour and a half to look around the garden behind a nursery, get some lunch and then meet back at the bus. I had a 5 minute look around the garden, then headed for the town because I have so wanted to take some photos around the town. It's a small town, but lots of interesting things, mostly built of stone. I think it's the stoniest town I've ever been too. I'll finish up the West Tamar towns, and then I'll post some photos so you can see.

Sunday I went to Evandale Market. Got some honey (proper leatherwood honey for only $3 a tub), a couple of books, another ship and a funny nutcracker thing. Was a good morning :)
