Because I'm going to be talking about it a lot in the next couple of months & it might be more interesting if one knows what I'm going on about.

My current WIP is the novel with no title. No, not even a working title. Botty offers: How To Lose A Material Valley. Don't think that's is even slighty relevant though.

Anyway, this is the same thing Ispent a lot of last year doing a rewrite of (end up with the whiteboard thing). It's the also the thing I sometimes refer to as a Victorian era pirate ship with dragons & elves & things. Which it is and it isn't.

If 'pirate' makes you think of swashbuckling rogues, hidden treasure, adventures on the high seas, Spanish main, privateers or similar, than it isn't.

If it makes you think of a small, armed ship that runs down other ships, slaughters the crew and takes anything of value, than it is.

Victorian? That's a shorthand way of saying it's a world with some similarities to our world in about 1870-1880, when the era of the wooden sailing ship was coming to an end. Although that's not happening in this world, because some ships can be woken up and then they're faster, more efficient etc. than usual, which gives them a big advantage over any possible replacements.

Dragons & elves? They're mixed bloods actually (part human, part something else), although the satyrs are pure (that's the only way you get them), although there is a little dragon thatjoins in near the end. By 'elf' I mean one of the native races (that eats humans & enjoys torturing them) who were given the label 'elf' by early settlers.

So what it is. What it's about, well, you'll have to read the book.
