I was working on a short story today! One I'd put aside because, even though I liked the idea, the story put me to sleep, when I thought about working on it.
Now I am a better writer and I can deal with stubborn stories!
So I took the beginning where nothing much happens on the first page and made it so nothing happens on the first page.
I took the predictable and sort of moralistic end, and changed it so another character solves the problem.
Hmm.
The middle is better though.
