It's always scary when you send them out into the wide world.
All that time staring at the screen, the printouts, the red ink, the fussing to get everything just right, exchanging emails about character motivation and whether the end works. Not to mention all the worrying about titles & whether the pacing is right. Until you're sick to death of looking at it.
Then off they go, into someone else's hands. Now all you can do is wait, and hope it's good enough, and try not to watch the mailbox. You try to work on other projoects and not think about it.
Then IT turns up.
