What do you call those things that are a paper covered tube, where two people take one between them, one holding each end, and then pull. There's a Bang! and someone ends up with a paper hat, silly joke and a little toy thing that usually gets thrown away?

Mother took the grandkids to church last week.

Sister tells me today that Erin learnt that Jesus died when he was shot by an arrow made out of mistletoe.

Had breakfast

Mother cooked the food that can't be cooked the day before e.g. vegetables, chicken, sauce for cauliflower. I was supposed to make sauce for the cauliflower. She didn't put mustard in it, or corn, or onion. That is why I brought the corn.

Her sister arrived. My sister arrived, with kids.

We had lunch: hot meal -- chicken, pickled pork, turkey, potatoes,, broad beans (ick), cauliflower, broccoli, corn -- on a table filled with two sets of glass, musical tree ornament, chocolate house, snow domes and bell. Not a lot of room for plates.

We pulled the things mentioned in previous post. These ones had interesting items in them -- tweezers, photo frame, key rings, little pen on chain.

We opened presents.

We had dessert: fruit salad, strawberries, plum pudding, trifle, raspberries. We ate chocolate house.

I had a nap. Woke up to see tail end of a Monty Python video so I assume the others watched that and drunk tea.

We had tea: cold meal -- potato salad, coleslaw, cheese, lettuce, home made bread

We pulled more bangie things.

We left for home.
