The mission for October

is to add some setting/world details to Stupid Novel and reduce the overall world count at the same time.

Chapter 1 is a few sentences longer and 23 words shorter.

Nice. I wasn't expecting to be able to trim much from this chapter, it's been pretty well worked over.

Noted however, it's a bit long (that's easy to fix) but nothing interesting happens. Or is that just because I could probably give you a paragraph by paragraph account of this chapter without looking at it?

It does introduce (almost) all of the key players and the goals of the main characters.
