Green things
Sep. 12th, 2005 07:50 pmHad a quick vist to the garden centre of our favourite hardware place today. Picked up some warrigal greens, an edible native. Yeah, a "bush tucker plant".
One of the few that isn't a tree/large shrub. It's an (apparently) rather invasive ground cover thing with a resemblance to spinach (in taste & use). Shall plant it in a foam box and see how it goes.
Also picked up a variety of strawberry (Alinta) that's supposed to fruit all year round. Shall plant that in a foam box and see how it goes. Yes, I bought a modern hybrid. It happens. I doubt there's much of an alternative when it comes to strawberries, despite their long history.
Notes a shortage of foam boxes here.
