My brain has set %gotobedtime as midnight. Need to reset that variable I think.

We (sister & her kids) took mum out to lunch today, being her birthday yesterday. We had to drive over to Longford, so we considered all the cafes (too expensive for lunch) and pubs (bit dodgy mostly) in the three towns south of Launceston (Evandale, Perth & Longford -- noted the Perth has the Queen's Head & Longford has the Queen's Arms, which brings up the obvious question...) and ended up the one just around the corner from mum's house (Clarendon Arms),Nice old Georgain pub, with lots of murals inside. Not the cheapest "counter meal" I've ever had but very nice (chicken satay on rice, followed by strawberries & cream in a chocolate basket)

Mother came up to see me yesterday with a pile of postcards, travel brochures & photos. After 4 hours of looking through them all, she finally left. I'm quite sure I had no desire to go to Dublin before she arrived. Not to mention those other places. *sigh*

Got very wet coming home. Had to wait for bus for abot 5 mins in rain that very heavy, then the bus trip home (the bus that runs past my place often continues on to run past sister's house which is rather handy but as we both live on the far ends of the route, it takes about an hour to get home)

Followed by the good part of getting cold & wet -- getting warm & dry.

Did a lot of writing on the bus, haven't typed it up yet. Ended up as a rape scene. Not good but it's a character motivation trigger. For the bad guy, of course.

Then watched Dr Who. The more I watch this, the more I like it. Not necessarily the storylines (last week wend a bit flat) but the moments -- the humour, the expressions, the interactions. Definitely, favourite show at the moment. Never used to bother with it in the past, except when I stayed at a friend's place.

OTOH the Bill I can take or leave. Problem is, every few opposites, it throws me one I like. (And I want to see Gabe leave.)

Been fiddling with web pages, well links actually. I make up webpages of categorised links, because it's easier to find what I want with them, then in my bookmarks file. Then I stick on my website, so I can access them for other computers. Handy. The downside, of course, if setting them up & keeping them up to date takes time, but then so does cleaning out bookmarks.
