Today should have been market day. Sister said she'd pick me up at 8 am. At 7.56 am, she rang me on her mobile.
She'd run the car off the road.
Actually, the very overloaded station wagon had spun around, gone off the road, over a nature strip, across a laneway, hit a hire car, went through a fence and brushed the side of the B&B house that it finally came to a stop in the yard of. And the four year old in the back seat apparently never said a word.
This was because it was raining.
After a dry summer and even drier March (the couple of days when it did actually rain, I suspect the water evaporated before it hit the ground), someone must have called a plumber in. Last night and today it rained, and rained, and rained. Heavy, don't want to be out in this, soaks straight to the sking in the time it takes to bring the dog in rain. The sky is full of stars now, so whether there will be any more rain, remains to be seen.
So the silver wagon with the security logo on the front (handy in busy places) was towed away and is now sitting at the insurance company full of all our stock :| Hope it's OK.
