Took the dog for a walk today, just down the road a bit, about 20 mins. That was the intention. Somehow we kept walking until we reached the river.

Hmm, it's starting to look a bit like summer.
That's the northern bit of the Northern Outlet, the highway out of the city. Jaz found it all very interesting, lots of smells to follow. Unfortunately, for her, she was on lead. Still, she was happy to pose in the grass

Look that way. That's right. Good dog!
But we got a good view.

Now the odd bit. Walking back through the Maritime College, I saw a large flock of gulls sitting on a football oval.

Pacific gulls I think, from the size. The grey ones are juveniles. Naturally, as we got close, and I had to get close, they took off.

But I managed to get a few shots of them in flying. It's hard enough getting clear shots of birds that are still, never managed to get any in flight before.

Allowing for the bad focus, I think they look quite weird. So I'm easily amused. :)

She was getting a bit hot & tired by the time we started home though and I wasn't sure going over the overpass was a good idea.

But we got a good view.
