I am not happy with the scene I was working on last night.

Basically, She wants to get him into a compromosing position so when her friend just happens to come by with someone in authority, He will get into trouble. He wants a fuck is tired of her promising him things & then not delivering so He's going to make sure that She goes through with things this time. Things do wrong but it works out as she wants.

Which is all well & good

But the way Hee wants to play it (being angry and excessively violent)is going to make him look like a complete bastard, whereas I'm wanting to play the sympathy card with him a bit later on.

And She is supposed to be getting herself out of the mess (this being one of the points of the scene) but the way it's playing out now, it's a combination of luck & her being more experienced & knowledgeable than she should be.

*sigh*

Usually I'd go with how the characters want to play it and then fix later things to cover an changes they make. Not sure that'll work this time.

That was my first thought

But as my main worry is things might come out this that will effect later events, I want to know about possible changes before I rewrite the later scenes. Otherwise I'm just making work for myself.

I think I'll give this scene another go and let the characters take it where they want to go. At least it'll get it out of my/their system then.
