xenithDog decided to jump back onto bed at 4.30 am. Wouldn't be a a problem except dog logic came into it.
Human rule: Dog is not allowed on the bed unless dog is told to get on.
Dog rule: Dog is not allowed on the bed if there is a concious human present unless dog is told to get on.
Dog logic: If dog jumps off bed in middle of the night and human is asleep, dog can jump back on; if human is awake, dog must wait until dog is told to get on. Human might need reminding. Loudly. Frequently. Futhermore, dog must be very sure this is human's intention, which usually requires human to sit up and hit the bed in appropriate spot while stating it is OK.
Go back to sleep, waking occasionally to check time but not too fussed because it's Sunday.
No, it's not!
Phew, still an hour before absolute latest get up time.
Very short hour.
Get up grumpy.
Try to have productive, non-grumpy IRC conversation with DS. Not covinced it was achieved.
Have shower. Shower nice. Make ungrumpy.
But now late!
Put dog inside because obviously it's going to rain.
Get to bus stop on time if bus isn't running early. Bus isn't. Bus comes at right time. Get to Mowbray in time to walk, not run, to bus stop around the corner and catching connecting bus.
Get to work.
(Skip next part because most interesting thing involved installing programs on computers)
After work, go into town with Mother because she wants to a bag.
Stop at favourite hardware shop at the way and look at plants. Want strawberries, cucumbers & Roman chamomile. Only find lawn chamomile. Forget if this is same sort so buy Florence fennel instead because never grown this in 20+ years of growing herbs), cucumbers & strawberries.
In town, we buy a sunhat, a jacket, two children's books, 4 lollipops, a card, an address book and two bags. Add note here, that it is possible to buy a long, sleeved, light but warm, smart casual jacket in summer. You just have to keep looking.
Went to Kmart. Bought some French beans for 50c & some bright pink slipper socks with blue stars stuck on them. Not v. good for summer wearing though. Summer socks tend to be dull and come in boring colours like white with hot pink spots.
Got groceries.
Was $5 out when adding up. Not surprised seeing at least twice the total on adding another product to the trolley came to $27. Obviously Not Concentrating.
Came home.
Still hasn't rained.
Now tried & crabby. Improvement on grumpy though.
