The one that caught her eye was:

Which is good. When I was working out the list of photos to get printed last week, I spent a lot of time trying to justify to myself why I should get two printed at the bigger ($7) size when I could get a lot more 99c ones done instead. But I think it's one of those photos that needs to be printed out as big as you can get.
I guess it's the contrast of the big arch of the aqueduct with the little figures below, it needs to be as big as possible. I just look at photos and know I like them. I'm not that good at working out why (trying to work on it). What made me take it was the combination of the autumn trees with the old railway arch.
I like similarity of the colours with the contrast - solid against leaves, large, heavy arch against little people, the permanance of the arch against the changing trees and fading road. And that road leading off to... where does a leaf covered road go?
It used to go to Launceston, from Longford. In the 60s they raced a Grand Prix over it. Now it's been superseded by a new road, not that long ago either, and now drivers just whiz by, many of them not realising this little spot is below them.
