This movie was brought to us by the same guy that gave us the Phantom Merchandiser?

I guess Episode I & II were warm up movies.

Can there really be spoilers? We know what happens, after all, and knowing that certain characters obviously live relieves some of the tension. Which is actually a good thing in this movie.

Which is all I will say for now, other than Ewan McGregor need a good slap or something, and if you're prone to runny eye disease at the cinema, some tissues might be a good idea.

You mean it's actually worth seeing?

I am stunned and amazed. I will finally have a decent Star Wars movie after The Empire Strikes Back? Is that too much to wish for?

Well...

(disclaimer - one advantage of going to see it before most other people if I had no real expectations. I'd heard a comment of comments but seen no reviews, so I was expecting Attack of the Clones with some extra atmosphere, or maybe not even that. I noticed as the words moved up the screen at the start that I didn't feel any anticipation or excitement. I wasn't really hopeful :( so anything would seem "better" however...)

Other people are coming back with positive comments too. Yes, it has its faults (including the whole opening scene IMO) and some of them are cringeworthy but, really, I don't care. The good bits make up for it. I'm going back to see it again.

Can't really say anything more without giving stuff away.
