It is Show Day today, so here are some sheep (from Longford show last year).

Ryeland ram (old English breed, prime lambs)

Border Leicester ram (northern England, prime lambs but long wool is popular for hand spinning.)

Suffolk ram (another English meat breed)

Dorper ram (a South African meat breed)

I think these are Dohne rams (dual purpose Merino strain developed in South Africa in the 1930s and recently introduced to Australia)

Ryeland ewe (old English breed, prime lambs)

Suffolk (another English meat breed)

This seems to be a White Suffolk (developed in Australia from (black) Suffolks because they're better suited for meat production, or selling thereof). Hard to tell as she's shorn but that is the nearest sign.

Hampshire Downs (UK 19th century, prime lambs)

Border Leicester (northern England, prime lambs but long wool is popular for hand spinning.)
