Bonus points for originality on this one I think.
As I do every night, I opened the door and let the dog out the front. She started drinking but I wanted her to go to the toilet, so I went down the stairs to take pick up the water bowl. Of course, I have bare feet. And it's dark.
I step off the bottom step, putting all my weight on my foot as you do and, yesterday I was pruning the roses and I put the prunings into a bag, except for one big, thick stem, which was now under my foot, at the base of the toes, the soft part of the sole.
At least it was the big, thick stem from the bush rose with large thorns on it; not the little, ones that break off easily.
